Not sure which accounting software to use to manage your conveyancing trust account? Maybe you’re thinking of switching software.
As bookkeepers to conveyancers, we use several of the more popular software platforms. We soon find out what works well, which ones are clunky and which ones have thoughtful features that make managing trust accounts a pleasure.
One of the platforms that our clients use is triConvey.
triConvey’s mission is to:
Here are some of the features of triConvey from a bookkeeping perspective:
- Reconciliation adjustments – We love that adjustments can be recorded right within the software (no external Word or Excel documents to keep track of adjustments)
- Easily transfer funds between matters
- Compliance – triConvey trust accounting remains compliant and audit approved according to each respective state requirements.
- It’s geared towards paperless workflow – who wouldn’t want to reduce the paper clutter in their office (with the added benefit of helping the environment)
- You can run multiple trust accounts
Special mention for these features:
- Support – we’ve found triConvey support to be quick and helpful. They’ve always answered our questions with specific, personal answers. We’ve had support in the way of video conferencing, phone calls and emails. This is big for us – if we can’t get answers to questions it raises our stress levels and raises our client’s stress levels. So big ticks to triConvey for this.
- Integrations – Xero, MYOB Essentials, PEXA, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe, triSearch solutions, Securexchange.
- Easy to look at and navigate – don’t underestimate how something like this changes your work each and every day. Less squinting, less anxiety, less wasted time trying to find your way around. I use some software where I can literally feel my blood pressure rise every time I know I have to log in.
At the time of writing you can download a free 4 minute demo video via their website. This is a great start if you’re still trying to make up your mind.
Conclusion
triConvey is a great option for managing your trust account bookkeeping. It has all the usual features that you would expect – but they’ve taken many things a step further. This include great support, better reconciliation adjustment features, helpful integrations and ease of use.
Be sure to do your own research to find the best software to suit your particular needs and budget.
